2021 Home Game Information & Procedures
To ensure that the season begins and continues in a safe manner, the Belconnen Cats community of players, coaches, managers, families, friends and spectators must all do their bit to ensure we stay COVID-Safe throughout the season. AFL Canberra have provided all Clubs with protocols and guidelines to be followed.
AFL Canberra has developed a plan which will assist Clubs on match day - this applies to both our home and away games. This is outlined below:
Spectators – stay socially distanced. Ensure you check in on the CBR check in app. QR codes are at all venues
Match times – Coaches and Managers will keep you updated of any changes.
Venue – Look for QR code stations and sanitiser. Note any updates from the club as rules come into play around outbreaks across NSW and ACT.
A map for Aranda is provided. We would appreciate if Cats families could lead by example and ensure you park and enter and exit at the appropriate places depending on where your child is playing.
Player arrival – no more than 30 minutes prior to game start time.
Player departure – within 15 minutes of game end.
Social distancing – please adhere to 1.5m/1-person 4m2.
Attendance register – QR codes are available at all venues. Please use them.
We have made every effort to ensure we follow these guidelines and seek your support in helping this happen. If you are unsure about anything, look out for support staff at all venues and they will help you. Alternatively get in touch.
We want to assure the Cats & Junior Football Community that we are doing everything we can to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Please remember to wash or sanitise hands regularly, do not share drinks or food, maintain social distancing, avoid non-essential contact, and stay away if you are sick or have flu-like symptoms.
Stay safe and enjoy the season!
