The U8/U9 age group is a key link between Auskick and the older age groups. This is still a skill-based age group where kids are encouraged to put fun and friends above winning. This age group requires a bit more hands-on support from clubs to ensure each game day runs smoothly. The functions of this role can be done by a 8/9 coach or manager, but does require a bit more soft admin behind-the-scenes.

The Cats use two home grounds: Aranda and Giralang. The Grounds Coordinator is required to ensure grounds are booked and deconflicted to meet the needs of all teams, as well as ongoing maintenance and support.

To ensure the club remains competitive, it’s important that we maintain a steady inflow of participants from all age groups across the Belconnen region. This role has a lot of room for creativity and initiative in how, where and when you recruit and advertise.

The Cats maintain two locations, Aranda and Giralang, each with two containers. The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for maintaining quantity and quality of the non-committee equipment, including game equipment, safety equipment, playing uniforms, kit bags and a raft of other equipment.

Centre Bounce is the club’s newsletter, published weekly during the football season. You’ll be responsible for compiling and sending out this newsletter. You’ll need to liaise with coaches and managers to get the right information, put it in a consistent format and ensure it’s sent out on time each week.

We run a number of BBQs as major club fundraisers. The BBQ Coordinator takes the lead for internal (Aranda/Giralang) and external (Bunnings) BBQs. This could either be you running it our outsourcing to the wider club community.
